Polish industrial designer Pani Jurek, together with architect, Piotr Musialowski designed these two interactive light sculptures. Through tactile play with the object, the lamps – KOLO Magnet and KOLO Sand – allow adjusting the light intensity to the needs and moods of its user.
In the Kolo Magnet design, lightly sliding a magnetic disc on the surface of the light circle opens a spectrum of the light effects. The compositions made by the user are meant to resemble astronomical phenomena.
Kolo Sand works like an hourglass. After moving mechanism upside down, the sand slowly covers the light circle and the brightness slowly fades.
