Henry Holland revealed a relatively moodier show this Spring/Summer 2013, at least according to his standards. The designer—now on his 12th season—described the pieces as being his take on a grungy teenager angry at the world. “It’s not so shiny, happy people now, is it?” he posits.
Sure enough, the pieces did invoke a certain 90s charm: a fresh spin on overalls, long spaghetti-strap dresses, embellished beanies, and token flat footwear. But not without the designer’s trademark pop touches making their mark in an array of bright dip-dyes and neon paint splattered prints, all perfect for the upcoming sunny season.
