Once you’ve soaked up the rugged coastline of Uluwatu’s untouched beaches and watched the orange sun set over Seminyak’s KU DE TA, as every Bali pilgrim knows, it’s time to head north to the island’s cultural heart of Ubud, amongst the lush rice paddies and this traditional village community.
Whether you’re seeking a little uninterrupted deck chair worship, or a dedicated health respite, Hotel Uma is the pleasing combination of design hotel know-how, within a tranquil Balinese setting that instantly soothes your senses right into submission.
Tucked away within the lush Tjampuhan Valley, overlooking the snaking River Oos, this COMO Hotel property unites local traditions with a contemporary sophistication, reflected in every detail from its modern handcrafted Balinese furnishings, to the property’s abundance of salt water infinity pools.

Whether you’re detoxing from life, or just your iphone, the resort’s exceptional cuisine, designed by Australian chef Amanda Gale showcases Bali’s rich gourmet heritage combined with Gale’s progressive interpretations of Southeast Asian cooking. Organic vegetables grown locally arrive daily, while the low-key ‘healthy’ option menu (think seared tuna spelt pasta, and fruit pizza) mean your stay here can also be remarkably guilt free. After all, Ubud does derive its name from Ubad, meaning medicine in Balinese, from the profusion of unique medicinal herbs that grow in the inland forests of the region.
But delicious green smoothies aside, there’s nothing better than retiring to your garden room with four-poster bed, open central courtyard and mosquito netted bathtub – from which you can gaze up at the night sky.
And while the resort also hosts its own gym and well-being spa, it’s the outdoor yoga platform, elevated within the rainforest canopy that will really coax you to breathe in that special blend of spirituality that Bali’s world renowned for.

beautiful work! posters for posterity!2
I like it. And it grabbed your attention esp. if you posted a comment below. whether you love it or hate I don't see anything where it promotes violence or degrading women.. what i see is government taking away the rights of a citizen n the rights away from people. Failure to follow instructions will land us in prison like the model. Now if steven photographed the same concept with average shmucks would we pay much attention to it? i dont think so. it'd be just another political journalistic photograph.3
i agree4
