For his flagship project, Saar Zafrir was tasked with reinventing the historical edifice and interiors of a former tobacco processing plant on the Dalmation Coastline into a modern luxury hotel and resort inspired by the timeless chicness of 1950s Italian beach resorts and fitting that vision to the stunning vistas and culture of the Adriatic Sea.
Located in Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular yachting destination, the Brown Beach House Croatia pairs classical elegance with modern design and focuses in on the property’s trade history with a natural textile color palette, wooden tones and vintage & contemporary furniture accented with Mediterranean flora, brought to life by the imaginative and nostalgic mind of Saar Zafrir.
Zafrir’s vision of the Beach House Croatia’s outdoor swimming pool harnesses the grandeur of the Roman Empire which held influence over Trogir throughout the 17th and 18th-centuries, outfitted with classic black-and-white tiled flooring and contemporary lounge furniture to enjoy the cool waters and picturesque views of the Adriatic sea and old town of Trogir.
