Holiday Home by Pedevilla Architects

Pedevilla

As the first snow officially falls in New York, the urge to escape with loved ones for the holidays becomes more and more persistent. And after coming across La Pedevilla, my destination of choice has been decided. The rental guest home nestled quietly in South Tyrol, Italy was completed by Pedevilla Architects who seamlessly integrated contemporary and the traditional. Clean lines and austerity play a delicate balancing act with warm and inviting design features. The use of locally-sourced timber and stone help to maintain authenticity and rusticness. But perhaps the home’s most impressive feature, (apart from its breathtaking beauty of course): La Pedevilla is completely energy-sufficient (outfitted with its very own water source, geothermal energy plant and solar energy station). Delusions of flying off to Italy to spend time in peaceful solitude are running amuck on my concentration.
