Funtastico by Hayon Studio
J
amie Hayon is a Spanish artist-designer who continually encourages us to reconsider our ideas of beauty and aesthetic value. Located in Groinger Museum, Netherlands, his latest exhibition ‘Funtastico’ is a retrospective reflection of the past decade.
In an interview with Dezeen, the artist revealed; “The show is really a synthesis of this crazy ten years in which a lot of things happened in many different countries and shows”.
Hayon is anything but myopic as he works across an extensive range of disciplines including ceramics, wood, glass, textiles, product, furniture and interior design. The exhibition encompasses a range of small objects to large-scale installations. From the functional to the completely absurd, the exhibition isn not only a showcase of versatility and flexibility, but demonstrates the evolution of Hayon’s artistic practice.
