Happy Honey Culture

Beekeeping is an activity that gets more and more popular among domestic users, especially in cities. It has been proved that honey produced in urban areas has no traces of chemicals coming from insecticides treatments used in massive agriculture.

While keeping industrial design in mind, Sandrine Mazan in a collaboration with Thon Charlotte and Fabre Edouard created a rotating molding machine that offers the possibility to use beeswax to produce honeypots. By avoiding a step in the production cycle, the beekeeper gets the possibility to keep control over the entire process and to stay in a perfect recycling spirit. The wax is not thrown away anymore and the honey stays perfectly contained by it’s original material.
