It’s a beautiful blending of fashion and architecture that sets the tone of Haizhen Wang’s SS13 collection. Inspired by the work of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and Japanese samurai armour, unique textures of greys and blacks are innovatively merged with flashes of blue in the embodiment of structure, space and style. Wang launched his label in 2010 after graduating from Central Saint Martins and has since been creating contemporary, cutting-edge pieces with impressive results.
After debuting the SS13 collection during the closing show of London Fashion Week, he was named the season’s winner of the renowned Fashion Fringe award by its chair Christopher Bailey. Combine that with Wang’s pure talent and creativity and you’ve got yourself a designer with the potential to become of the fashion world’s finest.
