Detroit Denim has created an exclusive napkin for the occasion, Stukenborg Letterpress Studio hand printed the stunning menus, and equally artistic contributions from all of the other talented craftsman.
Get ready folks, I’m about to tell you a secret about one of the most divine new food experiences. All of our Detroit readers are in luck, because an insanely cool event is happening this month, in an exciting new artist warehouse space called Pony Ride. I have had the lovely experience of working with chef Craig Lieckfelt on his past two pop up ventures and he is definitely one of the culinary world’s rising talents. Guns+Butter is Lieckfelt’s nomadic pop up restaurant and when it’s in your city, should not be missed. Craig takes inspiration from his travels as well as a passion for street art. A bad ass chef with brilliantly fresh ideas. Eating his food will take you right inside his head, teleporting your senses into an inspired state of euphoria.
Catch him while you can, Guns+Butter is always on the move and attended by the chicest culinary insiders and street art aficionados. A recent six week pop up throughout India, an East Village takeover and now right back in Lieckfelt’s home town, Detroit! But do not for one second think you are getting a traditional meal, Craig’s cooking will reflect the locality and freshness of ingredients found within 100 miles of Ann Arbor and Detroit.
