Global Street Food by: Mike Meiré

Imagine all of the world’s best street food brought together  for everyone to enjoy. Mike Meiré makes this possible with his worldly culinary installation, bringing art to life though transactions between people and the food we eat. “Global Street Food” is an artistic installation letting viewers travel the world  by exploring makeshift food stalls, fast food stations and sales stands from all over the globe. Ever wonder about the beautiful floating markets in Vietnam, a grill for goat meat in Uganda or the artistic minimalism of a lollipop stand in Argentina, well Meiré has constructed and brought them all to life. This exhibit was first shown in Meiré’s home base of Cologne, Germany and then traveled to the Vitra Design Museum.
