Drawn from her childhood growing up in New York City and her current life in Los Angeles, Gigi Rose Grays illustrates juxtapositions of Metropolis life and nature. Obtaining her BFA from Parsons one of her professors included Guy Billout.
She finds inspiration from spaces and architecture such as the Getty Museum as well as the color components of films and photography from the mid 50’s to 70’s. (Harry Gruyeart, Saul Leiter, William Eggleston and Charles Traub. Filmmakers like Claude Chabrol, Agnes Varda, Paul Mazursky, John Cassavetes)
