George V. Antoniou is a self taught digital illustrator from Cyprus. Studying the color and composition of photographers like Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the artist imbibes a sense of high fashion to his work, where he “dresses” his swan-like muses in Cartier jewels and facsimiles of Elie Saab gowns.
His dark cinematic style shows through in his series inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. “I wanted to experiment with the idea that she causes all the madness around her and that all the birds are attracted to her, isolating her spectacular figure from the rest.”
