Evolution is part of life’s cycle and many are the things we leave behind in the process. That might be our childhood, our old loves and jobs, obsolete techniques and outdated theories. But while all these stay behind, new points of view come to replace them. In that exact way, the evolution of still life photography is happening and Henry Hargreaves as a true virtuoso of his art presented his latest project: the photography series Game Over! where he put his favorite childhood toys to good use. Hargreaves stripped away their initial colors so that the viewers’ attention can be focused on their sculptural forms that now, as adults, we can properly appreciate.
