The recently opened Freehand Chicago follows suit to the much acclaimed Freehand brand, born in Miami. Created by Sydell Group in collaboration with design firm Roman and Williams, the hotel is located in the heart of Chicago’s lively entertainment district and shies away from looking like an ordinary hostel.
The design is thoughtful, featuring handmade craftsmanship and mid century furnishings. The goal was to create a space and an experience that is at once evocative and invigorating without forgetting the communal spirit that the brand lives by.
