Ever since that Youtube cover of Fleet Foxes’ “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song” hit my laptop, First Aid Kit has been on my radar. The Swedish sisters manage to construct an alchemy of vocal harmony that only siblings could so-blissfully create. The duo sings effortlessly with intertwining melodies and a matured folk sensibility beyond their youthful years. It’s as the they could be one entity. The sound is so melded together.

It looks like the rest of the world has fallen in love with the girls, who just recently released their powerful single, “The Lion’s Roar.” Its visual accompaniment, below, was shot in their hometown of  Stockholm with friend and director, Mats Udd. The darkly mysterious video displays a deathly hollow version of the Söderberg girls walking through the forest trailed by a promenade of drumming, hooded women. It’s beautifully haunting visuals adds an even more hair-rising dimension to their possessing rustic folk.
