Trendland in collaboration with smartwater is pleased to present a series of short video interviews in which we were given inside access to the people who make the CFDA Fashion Awards happen. Our third interview is with Trey Laird.
Ever wonder what it takes to make a global brand? Trey Laird, CEO and Chief Creative Director of Laird + Partners, counts Tory Burch, Gap, and Juicy Couture as just a few of the clients who have enlisted Laird for their branding and communication strategy. Trey Laird first broke into creative direction when his then-boss Peter Arnell moved him from the accounts department to the art department at Arnell/Bickford associates, and later at Donna Karan, where he headed then in-house creative department before eventually founding his own company. Laird and his firm were responsible for creating the CFDA journal, a print journal released in conjunction with the awards highlighting all the nominees.
