While people were looking to Pucci for its dose of trademark prints, designer Peter Dundas was looking to the Far East for the collection’s inspiration. The result? A softer side of the usually punchy label. Images of dragons, tigers, snakes, and flowers were displayed in subtle embroidery, and fabric choices veered more towards the languid silks and soft chiffons. Even silhouettes weren’t saved from the Asian invasion, as we saw outfit after outfit of billowy blouses, kimono jackets, and flowing trousers.

“It’s not something I was particularly trying to do. I have friends in Vietnam and they seduced me with its costumes, and then I started doing research and loved it,” says Peter.
