Donna Summer: Love To Love You Baby (Giorgio Moroder Remix)

lovetoloveyoubaby

Let’s all get funky and sexy to this one. Donna Summer, owner of one of the most seductive voices in music, is remixed by the Italian everyone is talking about, Giorgio Moroder. The legend record producer, songwriter and performer did a remix of his iconic 1975 disco single (co-written with Summer), partnering with frequent collaborator Chris Cox for the pulsating take.

Moroder is particularly known for his works with the Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Elton John. He has recently collaborated with Daft Punk, spending a lot of time in the studio with the duo for their last album. He also performed his first DJ set this year. Also, composed for a Chrome Experiment mobile game the song “Race”. Busy guy!

“Love to Love You Baby” was released as a single in 1975 and became one of the first ever disco hits to also be released in an extended form.

Look out for the entire album of Summer remixes, to be released by Verve next week.
