Digital prints, popularized over the last few years most notably by innovations from designers like Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto, now seem to be a niche specialty amongst band of cool young brands. They are a great way to marry the high and low, whether you’re wearing them off the runway or in any other incarnation. Richards NYC is another great line exploring this realm, and I’m loving the brands’ futuristic vibes mixed with lush green imagery. “Hyper-real images of verdant nature, both fantastically organic and obviously synthetic, create a mood that reads as both earthly and surreally extraterrestrial” says designer Sarah Leslie Richards’ of their S/S 2013 line. Gg-ll made this cool stop motion campaign for Spring/Summer, showing off the classic silhouettes as animated still lifes. The images seen here preview the F/W collection, also art directed and produced by Gg-ll, promising to be one of the fresher collections you will definitely be seeing from the streets to the stores.
