That an in-house team styled this Restaurant and Bar Design Awards nominee is inspiring to all home decorators. Located on the ground floor of the old Dean Clarke Hospital in Exeter, The Cosy Club is a large, theatrical and high-ceilinged space split squarely down the middle.
Hang a left to the operating table-inspired bar, or to the right for the restaurant filled with reclaimed furniture, taxidermy, ancestral oil paintings, Victorian lampshades, anatomical charts and 1960s Concorde hangar lights. For large parties, try ‘The Snug,’ a tarot card reader-inspired room seating up to 14 people.
