COS Pop Up Store

COS_POPUP_

COS’s signature minimalist style is reaching far beyond its clothes: this time it’s a mobile pop-up store that has COS written (subtly) all over it.  The Swedish brand commissioned the Vienna-based design studio Chmara Rosinke to design a display unit that is part mobile boutique and part installation; the pop-up store concept is an evolution of Chmara Rosinke’s previous project: Mobile hospitality. As expected from COS, the display is as functional as it is aesthetic with drawers, surfaces and hanging rails designed to accommodate a range of COS items. Made from linseed oil-treated pine it can be wheeled around, making it an ideal pop-up format; its first appearance is planned in Marseille this month. Despite it being designed as a public-facing object it is easy to imagine it as a stylish wardrobe solution – for someone with a minimal number of clothes, that is.
