Concerto for Still Life

Roberto Pugliese is a sound artist from Verona, Italy, known for creating large installations with cables and speakers.

His exhibit “Concerto for Still Life ” exposes new ideas and assumes an aesthetic where technology and sound interact with natural materials. The large installation consists of 13 trunks of repurposed chestnut trees, built for this purpose. Pugliese created the natural speaker to transmit the natural sound processed, starting from the noise and frequencies generated by the logs themselves. One can therefore say that the “Concert for still life” revitalizes the trees and the music becomes their new life.
