From time to time, I get lost thinking about the fantastical sources of inspiration from great designers. The ultimate example of this would be Alexander McQueen’s final full collection, a triumph of a Plato’s utopian Atlantis. Chromat’s A/W 2013 collection strikes a similar spark, with it’s geometric structures and silhouettes. According to the brand, the collection results from an inquiry in sixties futurist architecture, specifically Archigram’s dytopian visions, and insights drawn from parametric design and mathematical equations.
