Chris Malinchak: So Good To Me

chrism

Chris Malinchack is definitely someone worth looking into. You would never imagine that the author of this year’s anthem in the dance world is a piano virtuoso and has been in the New York scene for a while now writing and producing under a handful of monikers. Born in Brooklyn, he started playing piano in the age of three and by middle school he was already being spotted on clubs around New York city. His classical background was surely one of the elements leading him his unique sound.

Chris pays homage to Marvin Gaye’s “If The World Were Mine”, blending the sample with soulful sounds, a catchy melody and minimalist beat in “So Good To Me”, bringing out positive vibes that flew overseas to the likes of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Toddla T, Nick Grimshaw, just to name a few. He was also featured by Pete Tong at his BBC Radio 1 show.
