Catherine Losing X The Gourmand

Catherine Losing X The Gourmand

Food experimentations straight from the lab of Dr. Frankenstein. The ingredients in these images take on a life of their own and systematically cook themselves. Entitled The Serpent That Ate Its Own Tail, this photo series is photographed by London artist Catherine Losing. It comes to no surprise that this eerie shoot is created for one of Trendlands favorite food art magazines The Gourmand. Losing graces their second issue with this scientific concoction of chain reactions sprung by the ingredients themselves. An octopus holds the knife to it’s own demise, an eel powering the electricity to cook roasting lamb’s tongue. Pig’s eyeballs watch closely at a neighboring side of chicken parts and fried bits. This suicidal frankenfood was styled by chef and stylist Lain Grahm. If  Tim Burton were to create a morose display of creepy food, this would be it, and we love every second of it!
