Thursday, January 31st I attended Catherine Holstein‘s Fall 08 Presentation Party. It was held at Thom Bar at The Thompson Hotel. The models were on display in two of the private cabanas. The Collection was well color blocked and very wearable. There was a strong sense of nostalgia in her designs, with reference to uniforms from private school days or perhaps a sexy l’ hotesse de l’air from the 60′s. Apart from the silhouettes, she developed a beautiful print which was subtly screened onto her jersey pieces and printed on Large canvas’s arranged throughout the room.
