Cast Glass Sculptures by Heike Brachlow

Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Heike Brachlow worked as a glassblower in New Zealand before she began creating her own sculptures.

Heike draws her inspiration from her travels, human interaction, architecture and geometry. While color can have certain limitations when it comes to its application on glass, the artist has created her own colored glass, finally solving her frustration with the limited color palette. The unusual shapes and sizes of her sculptures coupled with a unique color scheme create a body of work that physically engages the viewers. Geometry, time, and space all serve as inspiration and are the recurring themes in her work.
