For some, time is money. For others, time is means for a grand entrance. For Brazilian electro-pop trio, Bonde Do Rolê, time was the perfect opportunity to assemble an all-star team for an album five years in the making–not to mention, rally some fan anticipation. Since their debut full length, With Lasers, the neo-funk band is returning with a collaboration roster including production from Diplo, Poolside’s Filip Nikolic, and Mumdance, and artists, Cecile, Rizzle Kicks, Dac Racist, and Tropicalian legend, Caetano Veloso.

The threesome, which includes Pedro D’Eyrot, Rodrgio Gorky, and vocalist, Laura Taylor have finally ebbed the suspense and released a single off Tropicalbacanal (out summer 2012) from their long-guarded grips. “Kilo”  is the Western, yet Cambodian-flavored, champion track to first leave the studio nest. It flies with colors galore, inspiring even more eagerness for the sophomore full length. With a touch of Afro-beat in the vein of Santigold mixed with drowsy reggae vibes, this is a sure addition to your summer soundtrack. Happy listening!

Also, don’t miss the single’s new video, featuring Diplo, an Argentinian Playboy cover girl, and a whole lot of tropical fruit.
