Designed by talented creative director Marc Atlan together with architectural studio Oller & Pejic, this Black Desert home is located in the Yucca Valley overlooking the picturesque Joshua Tree National Park.
Informed by the modernist aesthetic and conceived to read as a shadow cast within the desert the geometric structured residence is at a comfortable equilibrium with its barren desert surrounds.
Together the black walls, midnight quartz, high-gloss anthracite, and darkened steel create a stark contrast to the harsh desert sun and draw attention to the changing color, light and shade. At night the house seamlessly merges with the night sky evoking a sense of infinite space.
