Bill Thompson’s curvilinear, blobular forms serve to spark a dialogue of color and architecture. In recent years, the Boston-born artist evolved drawings into the realm of sculpture and installation, most recently seen on view at his hometown’s Barbara Krakow Gallery. Working from drawings, he sculpts and sands the shapes from hand, spray-coating them with hues dictated by said forms – springing to life as self-sufficient entities.
