Azzedine Alaïa’s Parisian Getaway

Being the global nomads that we are, we can attest to the convenience of staying in apartments rather than traditional hotels during our adventures abroad. If you are looking for the ultimate Parisian apartment to rest up in on your next trip to the City of Lights, look no further than the quiet Rue de Moussy in the Marais, where one of our favorite designers Azzendine Alaïa has turned a 17th century, 300 sqm loft into 3 separate 100 sqm apartments and decorated them to his fancy.

Nothing is better than a clean, white setting when going to rest your feet for relaxation after a long day of taking in the sights in Paris.  Alaïa uses minimal color, accenting the white interiors with a bright pop of color in the kitchens and furnishings.  Outfitted with mid century furniture by Jean Prouve, despite the small size of each apartment they can accommodate a small party in case the occasion calls for entertaining visitors.

These exclusive suites are located adjacent to Alaïa’s own personal residence, his boutique and atelier, and guests are treated to morning meals cooked up by the designer’s private kitchen. We hope this is not the designers last foray into interiors! Scroll for more great shots from Alexandre & Emilie.
