Avey Tare (aka David Portner) has been around for quite some time now. He was one of the founding fathers of this pretty amazing band called “Animal Collective”, maybe you’ve heard of it. In the past couple years, Avey Tare has been in pursuit of his own solo endeavor. Interestingly enough, the talented Baltimore, MD native really embodies the essence of Animal Collectives sound even standing alone. “Lucky 1” is a perfect example of this. That being said, he definitely puts his own spin on the track and reminds us of how captivating those vocals are through a new medium of reference.
