We first featured Danish designer Atifa Rasooli as she launched her first collection last season. Innovative, modern and even a bit avant garde, her approach to design is a consistent balancing act which not only works in the here and now but leaves infinite room for growth. Minimalistic Vermeer, classic, modern clothes made responsibly and with integrity, Rasooli is a designer we fully back. Although her aesthetic feels timeless and clean, I still feel like this is the calm before the storm of an career trajectory that will no doubt shoot straight up to the stars.
“There has been focus on creating a mood through the collection while keeping the silhouettes timeless and clean. The mood and colors of the collection is muted and dark, but with the touch of the sunlight. The fabrics are cotton, silk, and viscose. I have kept the color range again within black, light gray and white. The brand focuses on good quality and small quantity when it comes to production. The production is fair trade, placed in Bulgaria to be able to follow up easily the manufacturing process and quality control.”
