Portuguese artist, Johny Vieira blends Surf and Art, feelings and memories, made with two main components: driftwood and regular gypsum. A wave that becomes a harmonical sculpture, where the nature and human touch fuses.
Crafting three dimensional waves came as a natural extension of his connection with the ocean and passion for surfing. This creative search for the perfect wave was christened with the not so creative name – “Johny Surf Art”. In this project, hypnotizing barrels, long walls and churning breaks are created through simple lines, crystalline colors and utmost minimal design, where nothing distracts attention from the wave itself thus allowing our imagination to surf.
