Still life styling and set designer Annette Masterman is truly a master at capturing the seductive power objects have on our minds. With careful lighting and slightly ajar placements, viewing the object(s) becomes an easily understood image with generous doses of glamour and an aspect of viewer discovery.
Her work reminds me as if we were in Romancing the Stone, when Michael Douglas cracks open the porcelain rabbit statue and within it finds the most valuable emerald, the sigh from Kathleen Turner says it all. We gulp down images such as these with a quenching thirst.
