For Spring/Summer 2014, Ann Demeulemeester created a collection of sharply tailored, Victorian goth infused with climbing vines and moody romance. Known for her distinctive and instantly recognizable clothing, Ann continued a tradition of combining mysterious and twisted with the desirably feminine. Inspired by leisurely, Sunday strolls and her own garden of wisteria tendrils, the collection’s sheer fabrics, dark colors, and masterful drapery included oversized black mesh hats and tulle head-pieces. Cloaked and layered within this season’s designs, even the creatures of the night will venture into daylight.
