Ann Demeuele meester S/S 2013

ANN_DEMEULEMEESTER_SS _TRENDLANDWritten by Guest Blogger Madeline Rudin The oversized blazer is back, and it made its big entrance at the Ann Demeuelemeester S/S 2013 show in Paris. Romantic and dramatic, the collection was inspired by the duality of butterflies, according to Demeuelemeester–a vision she illustrated through the variety of fabrics and lengths in her designs.  From structured masculine jackets to feminine flowing trains, ethereal shapes glided down the runway in deep shimmering monotone hues.  Leather cocoon-like wrap belts and fierce chokers accented select looks to further dramatize the models silhouettes and to draw comparison between the contrasts in the garments with the contrasts of the butterflies life cycle.  Angelic yet slightly Gothic, the collection in its entirety was an embodiment of celestial beauty.
