I came across the work of Andréason & Leibel Design, the design studio of Kristian Andréason and Kristin Leibel, who specialize in architectural lighting design. Malmö, Sweden-based, the duo expresses their ‘genuine and mutual interest in form and the perception thereof’ in their array of award-winning lighting, furniture, and object design projects. Where vision meets form, their minimalist design brings in an element of utilitariansm, served up with distinct stylization, from the Tower of Babylon-modeled desk to their Hedonist skulls, inspired by an angry mob, and a brand new chair premiering this week at Ventura Lambrate during Milan Design Week. Having worked with clients like IKEA, I would definitely be on the watch for the rise of this brand.
