The day science met sex-appeal was when French musical prodigies gave birth to Le Voyage Dans La Lune. A trip to the moon literally emerges from this latest album, inspired by French film extraordinaire and illusionist Georges Méliès. As Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel (Air) landscape the twisted story of a silent film via state-of-the-art music technology, the depth of sound unravels through circuits of psychedelic rock, nearly shedding light on math and architecture (their previous careers).

Pulsating and atmospheric, Sonic Armada is among the collection of works which aims to restore the lost story of the 1902 silent film, A Trip To The Moon, by harnessing it with grade-A synthesizers and the hypnotic vocals of Beach House, Au Revoir Simone and Victoria Legrand. Cosmic Trip further pursues the band’s lunar fetish and dials in to their fixation on downtempo while perfecting the timbre of polyphonic samplings. Grab your oxygen mask and catch the music mechanics at work on their music-video masterpiece Le Voyage Dans La Lune.
