Aganovich F/W 2012

aganovich fw

Standard runway venues just aren’t cutting it these past few seasons, and Aganovich naturally followed suit hosting their latest F/W 2012 collection in a huge former car repair garage on rue de Turenne in the Marais.

The relatively new label, founded by Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor in 2010, has launched yet another well-conceptualized collection featuring the colder season’s usual go-to colors of black and white. Where the pieces made their mark, though, is their sweeping yet still architectural, linear silhouettes, inspired by anarchist and illustrator Clifford Harper’s notably bold style. The flawless result is a line of long and streamlined—almost futuristic—outfits, detailed with origami-like folds, high necklines, black caps, and a distinctive fashion forward sensibility.
