Los Angeles-based artist John Houck, currently on view in “Ocean of Images: New Photography 2015”, a group show at the Moma, has a unique process of archiving artifacts from his youth.To create this series titled “A History of Graph Paper” Houck photographed multiple iterations of the same objects while layering the prints of the images on top of themselves, resulting in rich handmade compositions.
