Nicolas Jaar’s Other People cult label has made a name for itself imposing a subscription based model and an unorthodox habit of releasing music to it’s subscribers every Sunday for nearly 50 weeks straight now. This past week their 49th release came in the free form ambient bliss of A.A.L. or Against All Logic.
The two part release “Stand Up/So Far” is just what we have come to expect from Other People, going against the grain of music as a whole, testing the attention span of mankind with excessively extended compositions, and coming up with compelling artists that create their own musical frontiers to crush on.
