Teepees and igloos have forever been a topic of fascination for travelers around the world, but what about ice fishing huts? These portable weather-proof structures can be found all across Canada and there are even ice villages, one in particular called Manitoba, full of these unique buildings made of anything from sheet metal, faux wood paneling, modified trailers, amongst many other found materials. Canadian photographer, Richard Johnson has been documenting these ice huts for more than 8 years, compiling a brilliant archive of more than 800 individual huts.
