15.0% Ice Cream Spoon by Architect Naoki Terada

Designed by architect Naoki Terada, the 15.0% Ice Cream Spoon uses your body heat to slice through frozen ice cream. Made of solid aluminum with thermal conductivity of 237 W/mK, these spoons eliminate the need to wait for your ice cream to get softer. The result is a scooping experience that is effortless, satisfying, and fun.

Comes in 3 different styles, each inspired by an ice cream flavor: 01.vanilla has the archetypal egg-shaped tip, 02.chocolate features an angular tip that allows easy reach to the corner of the ice cream cup, and 03.strawberry is ideal for drilling into your sorbet with its fork-shaped tip. Available at Ode to Things

Why ”15.0%”?
The figure 15.0 % comes from the composition of ice cream. Japanese regulation stated as “ ice cream = 15.0% milk solids”. They wanted their brand to share the image of ice cream.
