The opening party was packed ( Pharrel Williams and Kanye West were seen heading to the VIP area!) and there was a long line of people waiting to enter the Louis Vuitton store, now open at the MOCA!!! This is the first time Louis Vuitton has done something like this, and it reflects how well-regarded Murakami has become.
The MOCA Museum had their opening party for © Murakami. Takashi Murakami held a press review and briefly spoke of commerce and the fact that money is important. His ability to take Japanese anime and manga concepts and create pieces of fine art made way for his collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
